    • Should he stay or should he go?
Personally I would like him to go and Sean Dyche replace him.

    • I agree I don’t like him. He seems a poor man manager. He moans. He doesn’t get results. He doesn’t make the best of the talent that’s at his disposal.

Sean Dyche is the exact opposite to the above, and more likely to replicate Fergie.

    • He doesn’t get results.

He does, though. United wouldn’t be in the Champions league if he hadn’t.

I like Dyche, like his style, like his attitude. But Fergie was a once-in-a-generation manager and no-one is ever going to get close to his record. But, should the opportunity arise, I’d like to see Dyche offered an interview for the job.

    • I think his work is done.
Second in the league but this year that doesn’t mean much.
The team are stagnating, some players are going backwards and there just isn’t a happy vibe coming out of OT.

All acceptable .in a way.A few signings in January might make things click.

But what isn’t acceptable is his behavior when a microphone or camera is put in front of him.
What comes out of his mouth is generally embarrassing ,and his employers must cringe when they see him at a press conference.

The Special One is just not terribly special .

    • 2nd in the PL to a virtually invincible Man City and topped their CL group.

He seems to be doing pretty well to me.

Moyes was meant to replicate Fergie and he went after 10 months.

I’m not Mourinhos biggest fan either but his methods work and whilst City are flying, sacking your manager or wanting him to leave would only exacerbate an issue that currently really isn’t an issue.

I think it would be crazy to sack him.

He gets results, we’re back in the CL, won a European trophy.

City are better than us this year, we need a few more players but I think he’s building a strong team.

I also don’t like sacking managers. City have spent hundreds of millions on an already strong team. Ignore a few draws, the loss to Huddersfield and we’d have a good points total. We’ve not done well enough against top teams but the weak performance against Liverpool was most dissappointing. Since then we’ve been OK but lost Pogba through injury then the ban. He’s a huge loss to the team.

Mourinho has issues with manmanagement but he’s also improved a few players, Young and Lingard two obvious ones but I think Martial is a better all round player. Rashford is coming on but misses too many chances at the moment.

Dyche is way too soon. Fergie had won trophies and had 5-6 years of top level experience.

And yes second is acceptable. You don’t sack someone for not winning a title. We need to be in contention, but City have been incredible this year.

I don’t want him sacked I just hope he gets disillusioned and leaves.
Performances are lack lustre and they continually miss chances to close the gap on city.
He is not a good ambassador for the game and especially United.

    • I thought we’ve been much better since Pogba played higher. I still think we need a world class center back but otherwise I think we are starting to come together. We need to replace Mykatyran (Spelling..) as he hasn’t performed but otherwise we are building nicely.

No he’s not a great ambassador, but we knew that, few great managers are. Ferguson, Wenger and Klopp all have their moments and so does Guardiola.

    • the weak performance against Liverpool was most dissappointing.

      @jess
He’s frightened of Liverpool, it wasn’t a weak performance, it was a defensive performance as ordered by Mourinho.

@supersoccerfan I don’t think frightened, he just doesn’t want to lose. Losing hurts more than winning please him I think.

Liverpool are an awful team this year compared to other years. They’ve no midfield and Cann is off soon. Attacking they are great but behind that there’s a very weak team. Until they sign a keeper worthy of being at a top premiership team I’d be surprised if they made the champions league. They should have signed Schmeichel last summer.

Actually Liverpool are considerably better this year than last year. They are awful compared with Liverpool teams of the Rafa era and long before that I’ll agree. You’re correct that we need a top keeper. The agenda re our defense is getting tiresome, since the capitulation to Spurs we’ve conceded very few (also unbeaten since then), in the league at home this season we’ve only conceded 4 or 5. Plus we now have a top central defender with leadership qualities. I predict second.

@skipper The new defender is good but the midfield is weak. Pogba and Matic are far too strong. I’d be amazed if they made second. Letting Cann go and you’ve no power in the midfield.

      It’s United and Chelsea.

Liverpool have conceded 25 goals, United 16, Chelsea 16, City 13. That’s significantly more.

There attacking play is great but they leave holes at the back as a team. you can’t just suddenly defend better.
