Kansas City signs Jen Buczkowski

Jen Buczkowski proved herself as a great defensive midfielder last season and it would be a great shame if Kansas city let her go but they aren”t doing this as they have just signed a new contract with her. Jen Buczkowski has a new contract which spans through the 2015 season of the NWSL it has been officially announced. In a interview with the technical director for the side Huw Williams he said that Kansas city is panning on improving the team with new player signings but also wants to keep the team strong with proven “core” players he said. He also added that there was unfinished business that needs to be put to the resat from last season. It is good that Kansas city is not neglecting its current players. It is no surprise that Buczkowski has been signed again especially because she was such a strong part of the team it would have been silly to let her go. Last season Buczkowski managed to play all 22 games. She has commented on the new contract saying that she is really excited to get another season playing for the Kansas side especially for the long term! Kansas city is also letting out four of its current players to the play in the US national team roster, with 9 in total nwsl players playing in this tournament it is clear that Kansas city has a large proportion of sought after players.
