Marta’s “biggest fan” Kobe Bryant welcomes her to Los Angeles as Amway Global is announced as the team’s presenting sponsor.
Multi-year agreement includes coveted on-jersey exposure for new women’s professional soccer team
Carson, CA- AEG and Blue Star LLC, co-owners and operators of the Los Angeles Sol, who will begin play later this month as part of the new Women’s Professional Soccer league, announced today that Amway Global has entered into a multi-year agreement to become the Presenting Sponsor of the team. The agreement gives Amway Global on-jersey exposure for its brand beginning with the Sol’s Inaugural Game, which will be played on Sunday, March 29th at The Home Depot Center, located on the campus of California State University Dominguez Hills in Carson, California.
The sponsorship also names Amway Global as the team’s exclusive provider of nutrition and skin care products and provides additional exposure for the Amway Global brand in such areas as on-field signage at The Home Depot Center, within the “Sol City Festival” interactive fan village and at team-sponsored clinics and community appearances. Amway Global will also receive in-stadium video features and PA announcements, presence on the team website and within selected collateral materials created by the team including schedules, ticket stock, press conference and mixed zone backdrops.
“We’re excited to support the Sol and to be part of the return of women’s professional soccer to Los Angeles,” said Jori Hartwig, Vice President—Marketing for Amway Global. “Our NUTRILITE brand, based here in Southern California, is celebrating its 75th Anniversary. Sponsoring the Sol is a great way to celebrate Nutrilite’s global leadership in nutrition.”
A keystone of the partnership is the creation of the “Marta’s Maniacs in Amway Global Corner” section at all Los Angeles Sol home games. Located within section 119 of The Home Depot Center, the “Marta’s Maniacs in Amway Global Corner” will be a specially branded seating section in the stadium for the most rabid fans of the Los Angeles Sol and its star player, Marta. Additionally, the exclusive on-field seating section at The Home Depot Center will be branded the “Amway Global Field Level Seating Area” providing the ‘best seats in the house’ for season ticket holders and special guests who secure these premier seats.
“We are proud to announce that Amway Global will be the Presenting Sponsor of the Los Angeles Sol who will soon open play in the groundbreaking first season of the Women’s Professional Soccer league,” said Scott Hanley, Vice President, AEG Sports.
“Amway Global shares our vision of creating a new league in which the world’s finest players, including the great Marta, are role models on and off the field for the millions of fans who love the sport of soccer.”
