On Wednesday Sky Blue FC, announced that the they have signed Brazilian midfielder Thaisa. Thaisa has an impressive CV, she started playing international soccer in 2013 and can already boast playing in in 2015. Thaisa also played in the world Women’s World Cup and has started play in every game at the 2016 RIO Olympics where Brazil finished fourth in front of their home fans. In her soccer career so far she has scored a total of 4 goal in 49 matches that she has been in.
Sky Blue FC coach Denise Reddy said in the team’s official announcement. “Thaisa is a distinguished international with outstanding ability on both sides of the ball,” adding “Her experience and expertise as a midfield motor will be a huge addition to our roster.”
This signing is the first major move for Sky Blue FC latest head coach Reddy who joined the team on November 15. Thaisa will start playing for Sky Blue in the 2018 NWSL season pending the receipt of her P-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
